- Hosts events and offers heated smoking areas, showing major sporting events and hosting family occasions like christenings, confirmations, and birthdays.
- Managed by Mike and Monika Murphy, who have run it for around 17 years. They pride themselves on a family‑run, low‑overhead approach, allowing them to focus on community and atmosphere.
- Serves as the heart of the community, hosting gatherings that span generations—Sunday beachgoers, families celebrating confirmations, and even weekly poker nights.
Guileen Arms Pub

A cosy, local favourite — described as “a little gem” tucked away from the usual pub crawl trails. It has a traditional wood‑panelled bar and welcoming seating, perfect for a relaxed pint .

Rosie’s gastro pub is the closest restaurant from the Hideaway.
In Midleton there’s surely more dining options with a variety of styles, Our favorite restaurant at the moment is Ferrit&Lee, excellent food and service.
Nevertheless in Midleton there’s other places like The Farmgate, San Marco, Surf&Turf, Finin’s, The Granary, Salina’s Bistro are only a few of the many eatires in Midleton that are also part of FEAST, the food festival in East Cork that showcases some of the best foods and recipes in our area.
